Dana M. Rosser is a homemaker, mother and wife, married to Dr. James “Butch” Rosser Jr., a world-renowned laparoscopic surgeon. Dana is dedicated to educating people on how to support a loved one’s challenge with obesity. Dana takes the unique vantage point of offering comfort and understanding from the often overlooked spousal/family member’s perspective.

Dana and Dr. Rosser reside in Orlando, Florida, and are the proud parents of five children. A native of Akron, Ohio, and a graduate of The University of Akron, she is the author of Thru Thick and Thin: Facing Obesity Thru the Eyes of a Loved One.

Dana has appeared on the Dr. Oz show and has done a TEDx talk with regard to this very delicate subject.

Dana M. Rosser has a heart to educate, validate feelings and acknowledge the sensitive journey the family members of the morbidly obese may endure.  Drawing on over 20 years of experience in supporting her husband (Dr. James “Butch” Rosser Jr.) who has suffered with his weight, Dana can relate to the often overlooked and forgotten…the supporters.

Her book entitled Thru Thick and Thin: Facing Obesity Thru the Eyes of a Loved One was published in October 2015 and has since helped countless people uncover their truth.  Dana has published articles in the “Bariatric Today” magazine and has appeared on the Dr. Oz show, Local Orlando Fox and NBC affiliates and just recently finished a TEDx talk discussing this very sensitive subject just to name a few.
